The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or WBBSE was established in the year 1951 for the purpose of promoting secondary education in the state of West Bengal. Its headquarter is situated in Kolkata. Each year the number of students appearing in the board examination of West Bengal is increasing. When the board conducted its first board examination there were 42000 students appeared for the board examination. However, in the present situation, the number of students have increased over 8 lakhs in West Bengal Board.
As per the official notification, the board examination was started from February 26, 2019, and it was informed that the board result will be declared May/June 2019. Students can check and download the result from the official site of the West Bengal Board.

West Bengal Board 12th class result declaration
With the increasing number of students appearing for the WB board examination, it is quite difficult for the board to declare the result as soon as possible. Though the board tries their best to declare the result on time so that students can apply for their further studies.
In 2018, there were more than 8 lakhs students appeared for the WB Board examination out of which around 6 lakhs students were able to pass the examination with the overall pass percentage of 83.75%. In 18 district of West Bengal’s girls pass percentage was more than the boys pass percentage. Though the overall pass percentage of 2018 was less than the year 2017 i.e, 84.20%.
This year the students are expecting the result little early than the previous year. Last year the result was declared on June 8, 2018, which created difficulties for students to apply for various universities on time.
As the examination will be finished before mid-March it is quite possible that the result will also be declared in the month of May 2019. When the result will be declared, it will be published online and students can check it online.
Steps to check/download West Bengal Board 12th Class Result
Students can check and download the result by following the simple steps given below:
- Step 1: Students needs to visit the official website at www.wbbse.org or www.wbresults.nic.in. There are few third-party websites also which will be providing West Bengal board examination results.
- Step 2: Click on the link related to the result. The students will see a new page where students need to fill the basic information such as roll number or name or DOB.
- Step 3: Now students will be able to see their result. From here, students can download it and take a print out of it for future requirements.
West Bengal Board 12th Class Supplementary examination 2019 result
The supplementary examination is very beneficial for those students who were unable to clear the examination in one attempt. The students can give an exam in any one subject in which they were unable to clear because of a few marks.
The supplementary examination result date will be decided once the main examination result will come out. As per expectations, the supplementary examination will be held in the month of June 2019 and according to the examination, the result will be declared in the month of July 2019.
The students can check and download the result by following the same procedure followed in the main examination result.
Availability of Mark sheet:
As per the West Bengal Board, the schools are asked to collect the mark sheets of their students on the same day from a specific center of that particular district. The school officials will distribute the mark sheet on the same day as the result to each student without any delay. Therefore, the students will be informed by their school about the time and date of the mark sheets distribution.
