The Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination is the largest education board in India in which more than 25 lakh students appear for the board examination. Being the largest state in terms of students the pass percentage rate is the highest in Tamil Nadu compared to the other states in India.

The Board evaluates students’ progress by conducting three board examinations-one at the end of class 10 and the others at the end of class 11 & 12. Tamil Nadu Board 10th / SSLC Result 2019 Declaration

Every year more than 10 lakh students appear for the board examination of 10th class under Tamil Nadu Board. Even though the number of students is very large appearing for the board examination, the state board is being able to announce the result timely.

As the examination of 10th class, this year was ended on March 29, the students can expect their result in the second week of May 2019. Last year the result was announced on May 23, 2018. As soon as the result will be announced, it will be available for the students to check online on the official website of the board at www.tnresults.nic.in.

Mark sheet for 10th /SSLC will be published after the announcement of the result. Students can download the Mark sheet online from the official website. Tamil Nadu Board also sends the Hard copies of the Mark sheet separately to the respective schools of the students along with the uploading Mark sheet online.

How to check Tamil Nadu Board 10th Class Result

After announcing the result, the board will publish the result online on the official website. Therefore, for making it easy for the students we are providing some simple steps below to check the result:

  • Step 1: First of all the students need to login to the official website of the Tamil Nadu Board at www.tnresults.nic.in.
  • Step 2: There you need to search for the link related to the board result of 10th class and click on it.
  • Step 3: The link will take students to a new page where they will be asked to fill details such as roll number, DOB or registration number.
  • Step 4: After filling the details, the result will be displayed in that page and students can check their result from there.
  • Step 5: There will be an option for saving and downloading the page, click on it and take a printout for a future purpose.

Tamil Nadu Board 10th Class Supplementary examination 2019 result

The Tamil Nadu board has made sure that there is no student in the state who has to leave school or studies for any reason and taking the supplementary examination is also a part of this. This examination is only conducted for the failed students and is to provide an opportunity for them to pass the examination again.

However, the examination date and result date is decided once the main board result is being announced. The board result makes is clear that how many students are eligible to take the supplementary examination. Last year the result of the supplementary examination was announced on July 24, 2018. This year also the students can expect their result around the same time.

In 2018, there were 10.01 Lakh students appear for the 10th board examination out of which there were 4.74 lakh boys and 4.76 lakh girls. The overall pass percentage of the students was 94.5% which is the highest pass percentagein India. In Tamil Nadu also, girls are a bit ahead of the boys with the pass percentage of 96.4% over 92.5% of boys.

As the competition among students in the state is very high, the board refused to publish any merit list of the top students for not encouraging any negative or unhealthy competition.
