The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) was formed 18 years ago by the newly formed government of Jharkhand State. However, an act to establish the board was enacted and assented to by the Governor of the state in 2003. At present, there are 26 officials working under JAC.
The board was responsible for conducting examination for 8th, 10th, 12th, Sanskrit schools and Madarsa along with prescribing syllabus for these examinations. The board also provide affiliation to the schools and colleges and recommends for their recognition to the HRD.
This year the board examination of 10th class was ended on March 9, 2019, and the JAC has announced that the result will be announced in the first week of June 2019. The result will be published online on the official website of JAC and the students will be able to check it from there.

Jharkhand Board 10th class result declaration
The Jharkhand board conducts the board examination in between February – March. However, it takes a longer time to announce the result compare to the other education board in India. As the examination was ended on March 9, the result should be announced in the early weeks of May. But looking at the past trends the result can be expected in the first week of June 2019.
Last year the result of 10th class was announced on June 12, 2018. Therefore, this year too the result can be expected around the same time as the previous year. The JAC will announce the result in the press conference and afterward will publish the result online on the official website at https://jac.jharkhand.gov.in. The students can check their result from the official website.
How to check/download Jharkhand Board 10th Class Result
Though the online process of everything these days is not difficult for anyone. However, the pressure of the exam result can create confusion in the minds of students. Which is why we are providing some simple steps below for checking JAC 10th class result:
- Step 1: First of all, the students need to login to the official website of Jharkhand Board at https://jac.jharkhand.gov.in.
- Step 2: At the home page there will be a link available for the 10th class result. Click on the link and a new page will pop-up.
- Step 3: Here, the students will be asked to fill the details such as roll number or DOB or registration number.
- Step 4: After filling the details, the information related to the student’s result will display on the page.
- Step 5: There will be an option for downloading the result. From here the students can download it and can take a printout of it for future purpose.
Jharkhand Board 10th Class Supplementary examination result
The supplementary examination is being conducted to give second chance to the students who weren’t able to clear the main examination. Those students can apply for the supplementary examination and can appear for one or two subjects. The process of supplementary examination is the same as the main examination. The students have to register themselves again to appear for the examination. The separate admit card will also be issued to the students and the checking of copies will be the same as well.
The exact date of the supplementary examination and its result is yet to be decided and will be decided by the board once the result of the main examination will be announced. As the board result of 10th class will be announced in June the students can expect their supplementary examination July end and the result in the first week of September 2019. Please know that last year the result of the supplementary examination of the 10th class was announced on September 10, 2018.
Every detail of supplementary examination will be uploaded online on the official website of JAC and the students can check their examination date, availability of admit card and result on the official website.
Jharkhand Board 10th class toppers list 2018
In 2018, there were 4.28 lakh students appeared for the 10th board examination out of which 2.54 lakh students were able to pass it with the overall passing percentage of 59.48. The pass percentage of the boys was 61.79% while the girls couldn’t outshine boys in Jharkhand by getting only 57.29% passing percentage. If we talk about the district wise highest passing percentage so the Hazaribagh district was recorded highest with the pass percentage of 74.45% followed by Ranchi district with 72.93%.
