IBPS RRB Examination Registration 2019

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a common entrance examination for the candidates who wish to have their future in any Regional Rural Banks across India. The IBPS conducts examination for Officer Scale I, II, III, and Office Assistants.

There are a total of 56 Rural banks participating in the selection process of IBPS. The selection of the candidates depends upon the requirement present in the Rural Banks. These banks send their requirement details to IBPS and with the help of NABARD and IBPS, these rural banks fulfill their requirements.

The IBPS has announced recently that the preliminary examination for Officer Scale I, II, III, and Office Assistants will be held from August 3 – 25, 2019. The registration process will start in May 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
  2. The candidates should be proficient in the local language as prescribed by the participating Rural Bank.
  3. The candidates should have a working knowledge of Computer.
  4. For Officer scale II, two years of experience in a bank or financial institution is required. However, for Officer Scale III, 5 years of work experience is required.
  5. For Officer scale I, the candidate’s age should be between 18-30 years and for office assistants the age should be between 18-28 years.
  6. For Officer scale II, the candidate’s age should be between 21-32 years and for Officer scale III, the age should be between 21-40 years.
  7. The candidate should be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or permanently migrated from any other country to India with a valid certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India.

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST – 5 years
  • OBC (NCL) – 3 years
  • PwD – 10 years
  • Ex-serviceman/ disabled Ex-serviceman (for the post of Office Assistant only) – an actual period of service rendered in the defense forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled ExServicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
  • Ex-serviceman (for the post of Officer Scale I) – 5 years
  • Widows, Divorced women, and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried – 9 years (Only for office assistants)
  • Persons ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 – 5 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years

Application Fee

Below are the details of registration charges:

For Officer Scale I, II, and III:

  • SC/ST/PwD candidates – Rs. 100/-
  • For all other candidates – Rs. 600/-

For Office Assistants:

  • SC/ST/PwD/EXSM candidates – Rs. 100/-
  • For all other candidates – Rs. 600/-

The IBPS is providing various options for the candidates to pay application fee through online mode by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets etc. However, bank transaction charges for online payment will have to pay by the candidates.

Please know that there will be negative marking for each wrong answer. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Pre-requisites for applying online

The candidates only have to register themselves only once for both Pre or Main examination, wherever applicable. Below are the details of the requirements before applying online for the examination:

  • Scanned passport size photograph of size 20 kb to 50 kb in .jpeg file format.
  • Scanned signature of the candidate in size 10 kb to 20 kb in .jpeg file format.
  • Scanned thumb impression of the candidate in size 20 kb to 50 kb in .jpeg file format.
  • Scanned copy of handwritten declaration as per the format in size of 50 kb to 100 kb in .jpeg file format.
  • Valid Email ID and phone number for correspondence.

How to Apply

The candidates applying for IBPS Officer Scale I and Office Assistant can apply online by following the simple steps given below:

  • Step 1: The candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of IBPS at www.ibps.in and click on the link to related to “CRP RRB”.
  • Step 2: Then click on the link “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register. Here, the basic information will be required to proceed in the online application form.
  • Step 3: After providing basic information, the candidates needs to upload their scanned copy of photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten statement.
  • Step 4: Now, the candidates will have an option to make payment through online mode. Once the payment is complete, an e-receipt will be generated, take a printout of it.
  • Step 5: Now click on the “Final Submit” button to complete the online registration procedure.
