The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts common entrance examination for various Indian Public sector banks. Those candidates who seek their future in banking sector, IBPS provides them a very good opportunity by conducting this examination. The recruitment process was started from August 14, 2018 and Preliminary examination was conducted in October from 13th to 21st.
The result for Preliminary examination was declared in November 13, 2018 on the basis of which the candidates for main examination were short listed. The Main examination was conducted in November 18, 2018 soon after the declaration of the Prelims result.
Now the candidates are eagerly waiting for the Main examination result. Though IBPS only informed that the result will be declared in the month of of December 2018 but the exact date is yet to be decided.

Calculation of Marks
As per the official website of IBPS it was stated that the equi-percentile method will be used for normalizing the marks of the candidates. Also, the scores up-to two decimal points will be taken for calculations.
Candidates who will pass the main examination will be called for the interview by the various banks with the help of IBPS. The interviews will start in the month of February 2019 which means the candidates will have sufficient time for the preparation of interview as the main examination result will be declared in December 2018.
Please know that the final scores will be a combination of scores obtained in Main exam and interview in the ratio of 80:20. The students who have done well both in written and interview will succeed in the IBPS examination.
Answer Key of IBPS PO/MT examination
As soon as the exams are conducted the IBPS publish the answer keys for the candidates. The answer keys are available in 4 different sets and candidates can check their answers according to the set they receive in the examination.

How to download IBPS PO/MT 2018 Result
Candidates can download the IBPS PO/MT result by following the simple steps given below:
- Step 1: candidates needs to login first to the official website of IBPS at www.ibps.in.
- Step 2: there will be a link for the result at the home page of the website, click on it.
- Step 3: the link will redirect you to the new page where you need to fill the details such as registration number/roll number, password/DOB.
- Step 4: from here candidates can download the result and take a print out of it for the future purpose.

There are 20 banks (Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab and Sindh Bank, Syndicate bank, UCO bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, Vijaya Bank) participating in the recruitment process of IBPS. More than 3500 vacancies were offered by these banks. However, the vacancies vary from bank to bank according to their requirements.
