The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a common entrance examination for various Indian Public sector banks. Those candidates who seek their future in the banking sector, IBPS provides them a very good opportunity by conducting this examination. The recruitment process was started from August 14, 2018, and Preliminary examination was conducted in October from 13th to 21st.
The result for Preliminary examination was declared on November 13, 2018, on the basis of which the candidates for the main examination were shortlisted. The Main examination was conducted on November 18, 2018, soon after the declaration of the Prelims result.
Now the Main examination result is already out and the candidates are going through the interview phase. However, the final result of provisional allotment will be declared in April 2019.

Calculation of Marks
As per the official website of IBPS, it was stated that the equi-percentile method was used for normalizing the marks of the candidates. Also, the scores up-to two decimal points were taken for calculations.
Candidates who passed the main examination will be called for the interview by the various banks with the help of IBPS. The interviews have started in February 2019. The candidates had sufficient time for the preparation of the interview as the main examination result was declared on December 17, 2018.
Please know that the final scores will be a combination of scores obtained in Main exam and interview in the ratio of 80:20. The students who have done well both in written and interview will succeed in the IBPS examination.
Answer Key of IBPS PO/MT examination
As soon as the exams are conducted the IBPS publish the answer keys for the candidates. The answer keys are available in 4 different sets and candidates can check their answers according to the set they receive in the examination.

How to download IBPS PO/MT 2018 Result
Candidates can download the IBPS PO/MT result by following the simple steps given below:
- Step 1: candidates need to login first to the official website of IBPS at www.ibps.in.
- Step 2: there will be a link for the result at the home page of the website, click on it.
- Step 3: the link will redirect you to the new page where you need to fill the details such as registration number/roll number, password/DOB.
- Step 4: from here candidates can download the result and take a print out of it for the future purpose.

Vacancies in IBPS PO/MT
There are 20 banks (Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab and Sindh Bank, Syndicate Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, Vijaya Bank) participating in the recruitment process of IBPS. More than 3500 vacancies were offered by these banks. However, the vacancies vary from bank to bank according to their requirements.
