The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was founded by Arcot Ramaswamy Mudaliar and Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar in 1942 for the purpose of scientific research development in India. The CSIR research activities runs nationwide in many laboratories/Institutes with more than 15000 collective staff, over 4000 scientist and around 6500 technical and support staff. Over the years the CSIR has developed more than 1300 technologies in India.
The CSIR conducts every year NET examination for the candidates who are interested in research or teaching work in subjects like Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences. This year the CSIR NET was conducted on December 16, 2018 and the candidates can expect a result in April 2019.
CSIR NET December 2018 Result Declaration
If we see the past trends the CSIR NET result was declared after 5-6 months of examination date which is quite a long time for any online mode examination. December 2017 examination result was declared after 5 months of examination in May 2018 and same goes for the June 2018 examination. The result was declared in November 2018.
The delay in declaring the result can create confusion for the candidates as they are unaware of their examination result also they are unsure to whether to fill the registration for the next exam or not.
Therefore, it is possible that the CSIR board will try to declare the result as soon as possible before the next registration process commence. Though the exact date of result is yet to be decided by the CSIR board.
How to check CSIR NET December 2018 result
The CSIR will publish the result online and the result will be shown in PDF file format. A list will be provided and candidates can check their name on the list.
Though checking through the name will be difficult therefore, candidates can press Ctrl+F and if the candidates is shortlisted then the name will be highlighted. Also, candidate can search through the Roll number by using the same method.
The result will first display the list of roll number and rank of the candidates selected for JRF (NET) and then the list of candidates selected for Lectureship (NET).
Steps to check/download CSIR NET 2018 score/mark statement
After checking the result, candidates can check the score of CSIR NET December 2018 by following the steps given below:
- Step 1: The candidates needs to visit the official website of CSIR at http://csirhrdg.res.in/ and click on the link related to the result.
- Step 2: The link will lead you to a new page where candidates needs to fill the information such as Roll number, DOB and security code.
- Step 3: After submitting all the details, candidates will be able to see their scorecard and from here they can download it for future purpose.
CSIR NET cutoff score
The cutoff score is the minimum marks required to pass the examination and on the basis of which the merit list of the selected candidates will be decided.
